1. What does Bruce want out of joining Ra’s Al Ghul’s “League of Shadows”? What does Ra’s want with Bruce? How do the two interpret the concepts of justice and evil—and what needs to be done with Gotham City?

2. Why are the concepts of fear, pain, anger, and guilt significant throughout the films? Explain how these things inspire Bruce to become what he became?
